How much protein should a female consume for weight loss?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I’ve been working out consistently for about a year, but my weight loss has been really slow. I’ve only lost about 15-18lbs. I’ve also changed my diet and started eating a lot healthier. I haven’t been intaking much protein and I believe that is a reason why my weight loss has been slow. How much protein should I take to speed up my weight loss? Are there any recipes, shakes or vitamins I should be taking?
I workout at least 3-4x a week. On average I’m at the gym for 1hr. – 1.5hrs. I’ve been attending the RPM & Body Pump classes at least 2x a week. On the other days I’m doing cardio and weightlifting. I also do resistence training.

Protein: Beans, lean meats such as boneless skinless chicken and fish, peanut butter (about 1 tablespoon for a serving), etc…

Lean Protein should make up about 40% of your daily nutritional intake per day. 30% is for whole grains. 20% is for fruits & vegetables. 10% is for fat.

What is the best birth control pill for minimal weight gain?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I have been having issues with birth control and weight gain over the last year, and have went from 130 lbs to 175!!! I am married, but I need to stay on birth control until I am finished with college. So, does anyone know of a brand of birth control that will not cause weight gain????? HELP PLEASE!!!

All of them have the side effect of weight gain, and it depends on the person. Talk to your Dr. You might call a pharmacy and ask them, but chances are they are going to say talk to your Dr. They have come out with alot of new birth control, but there are about 100 kinds. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

what is a good safe weight loss pill with little side effects?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

looking to lose about 30 pounds taking a good pill and exercising.

Don’t use pills! Diet pills only have a short term effect for weight loss, and they’re not good for you body. Once you stop taking the pills, you’ll put the weight back on again. You have to do it the old fashioned way. Diet and exercise. The diet part is actually easy, if your motivated to do it. Just buy healthy foods, such as fruits and veggies. Switch to rice and baked foods, such as baked chicken, and turkey. There’s actually lots of really tasty foods out there that are healthy for you, too. Stay motivated and make sure that you step on the scale every morning, and mark the results on a calendar where you’re likely to see it.

Does anyone have a highly effective solution for quick weight loss?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I graduate high school in june 2007. I would like to lose weight (maybe 20 pounds) before my graduation. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to melt away the pounds?

Eat small sensible meals & exercise are the 2 most popular answers in our society. Take this from someone who has had & still does have eating disorders : ask your doctor !!!!!!!! I did so much damage to my body (heart & lungs included) and if you trust your doctor, then do it safely. Maybe ask them to refer you to a nutritionalist who will give you a healthy diet w/foods that you actually like. Good luck, chickie !!!!

Which weight loss products work – pills/herbal teas/meal replacements? I need a boost to start me off dieting?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I am going to get some weight loss ‘milk shakes’ or something tomorrow to get me going. Any ideas of good ones or pills that work? I am not interested in healthy eating advice etc just basic straightforward immediate weight loss results – I know these methods are unhealthy but so is being fat :)

Which ones have you used that work?

Thanks

I agree with Jay (above).

My sister in law used to be a model and she was inactive due to pregnancy. At the end of it, she was over weighted by 17 pounds and she says she got back to her weight using a more powerful version of the known Acai Berry besides a light exercise routine.

My husband is using it since he saw his sister’s change and he looks thinner, but it’s very soon to know (it’s barely 3 days now).

You could ask for a sample before buying it. She did that before ordering.

Hope this helps.

What plan should I stick to for healthy weight loss?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

Hi! My doctor said I’m close to being at risk of being overweight. I’m 13 years old and I am 5 foot 4 inches tall. I’m not really fat but I’ could be skinnier so I just started at about 137 pounds. In just a couple of days, I’ve gone down to 134 pounds. Please give me some advice and support! Thanks! <3

Please remember to be very careful about not getting enough nutrients! At any age, people need to be extremely careful to get enough nutrients. In fact, you should ask your parents/guardians about getting a multivitamin specifically for growing teenagers like you. Also, you should make sure to talk to your doctor about whatever plan you choose, since doctor’s really know their stuff! Assuming you don’t have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, one of the best things you can do is to include some low fat or non-fat dairy products like milk to give you calcium and vitamin D. Milk is especially important to help your bones grow when you are young. Also, remember to eat your vegetables and fruits!

You could basically never gain weight eating vegetables and fruits. They are simply not very calorie dense, but they are nutrient dense! They give you huge amounts of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals, which is awesome! So, whatever you do, please don’t skimp on things like protein, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. In fact, the only things you should totally skip are things like candy bars, soda, chips, and other junk foods. The reason why they are bad is because they have a large number of calories and little or no nutrients!

Water is essential! Drink plenty of water every day! Not drinking water can make your stomach hurt, make you dizzy, make you tired, and make you feel awful! Always drink water whenever you feel thirsty! It is much better to drink water than to drink soda! If you want to drink something besides water, you should drink juices like orange juice or vegetable juice.

So, the most important things to remember is to always have vegetables, fruit, dairy (unless you have an allergy), and water! Making sure you have enough protein (meat, soy, nuts, and beans) and some complex carbohydrates (pasta, rice, etc; whole grain or brown is best) and a little bit of good fat (nuts, beans, olive oil, olives) is also important. Basically, it is best to eat lots of different foods, especially fruits/vegetables. The only foods you can totally stop eating for good are sodas, chips, candy, and other junk food.

Now, you can start writing down the food you eat and how much you eat into a journal. Then, you can take this journal with you to the doctor. The doctor can help tell you if you are eating in a healthy way. Please remember that you definitely need to eat! When people stop eating, or eat very little food, their bodies become very frail and unhealthy. Not to mention, people that lose weight by eating too little almost always gain that weight back plus some extra! Instead of not eating, simply eat more of the foods that are natural and healthy, and less junk food!

Do those fat loss pills really work? If they do, which one is the best?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I want to drop some fat so that my six pack can come back. Also I feel my face has gotten a little bit chubby. My cardio routine seems to be getting the rest of my body toned up but it’s not dropping the fat I want.

Do any fat loss pills, supplements work or are they all a fad?

Low Fat Foods don’t work
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets don’t work
You won’t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans don’t work
You’ll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

Can pseudoephedrine help with weight loss? As good as ephedra?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

Last week I had a cold and was taking medicine constantly to control the symptoms, and was actually losing weight. A few days after I was off the medicine, I stopped losing weight. Was it the pseudoephedrine?

If anyone has experience taking pseudoephedrine to lose weight, let me know how it worked for you. (I also took Mucinex and a perscription cough medicine some of the days I was sick.)

I’m not interested in people telling me their opinions of the dangers, I realize one always needs to be cautious when using drugs for anything.
I have been eating healthy and controlling my portions for many months, so it’s not that. If I had an even remotely normal metabolism I would be losing 10 lbs a month, but I only lose maybe 3 lbs a month on a good month.
Btw, I’m 32 and have had three babies, the youngest is 14 months.

I see no one knows the primary ingredient to Crystal meth. Thats right Pseudoephedrine. Yes that chemical increases metabolism If you want to boost weight loss take a b vitamin complex

Is there an effective weight loss pill?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

I’ve tried a few with limited results – really just about a 5lb weight loss which was mostly just water weight. I’m in good shape and workout every day and eat fairly healthy but still indulge. I want to try a weight loss pill to get a more effective workout (my body is too accustomed to my routine and I don’t have time for anything else) and I’m plateauing. So is there any pill that can take off the last 10lbs?

You need to go to therapy to find out what the underlying cause may be. it has to be more than a craving…maybe a hormone imbalance or something medically or mentally out of whack. you need to start exercising and eat fresh fruits/vegies, berries and fiber when you want to eat the junk food. occupy your time with reading, walking, hanging out with friends, etc. attend church. having God on your side always helps. For exercise try this (it worked for me ) http://www.weightlossdisc.com

what are some different diets that actually work?

Posted on December 29th, 2009 by admin

i know of all the weight watchers, and adkins, and south beach and stuff but anyone know of any that work really well?

They ALL work really well…..if you follow them properly.

You have to find the one that you can actually do and stick with for life.
